Mouse Cursor is white box on Gnome Desktop after fleek setup
I seem to have broken my cursor on the desktop after setting up the fleek environment. All I did was add Bling: High to the config file and apply the changes. After a reboot my mouse cursor becomes a white box when hovering over the desktop and when grabbing and moving windows.
I tried rebooting as well as a rollback, but neither helped. I tried to use a different cursor pack but the folder I usually use to put those themes in are read only on bazzite I guess.

if you open GNOME Tweaks, what's your cursor set to?
Adwaita
hmm, that's very odd
might want to ask in #✨fleek
haven't seen this one
Will do
there's some tools in fleek to 100% clean itself
so this should be fixable
Sounds awesome. I will ask there and post it in this thread if I fix it
/usr/share/icons isn't writeable, but custom cursors can live in ~/.icons
👍
I will try that as well! Thank you!
Creating that folder and throwing a custom cursor in there fixes the issue, and that is a solution I am happy with, but switching back to Adwaita does make the problem reappear.
Can't recommend posy's cursor enough, it's what I'm using
Also don't forget to globally add ~/.icons:ro to your flatpaks with flatseal
So they get the cursor too
Wow you're right. I didn't even notice that haha
I will check out Posy's cursor right now!

I'm using the black one in particular
What is the :ro for?
Read only
Makes sense!
I wanted to update this thread that I have noticed other icons missing around my OS. The wifi icon is gone as well as the star icons in the software center
Nvm swapping the icon theme to something else and then switching it back to adwaita fixed it for whatever reason. odd!
simple but effective
very nice
