might be able to do it by changing suffix
else you can do group based layouts in ur chat plugin

IE essentials chat, LPC, venturechat, etc?

What do you mean? That is the permissions they have.
You are telling your chat plugin to make your chat white because you're in the default group

It's not doing anything though. All the default group user's chat is still white

Two things, did you modify LPC's config.yml at all?
Second thing, did you do
/lpc reload?I did not modify the config.yml, but I did do
/lpc reloadMight need to, check the plugins docs for specifics.
Might need to add a {message color} into it somewhere
