Some videos won't play on web
Videos taken with my phone seem to not play in Firefox. Sounds plays, but video does not. They play fine in ms Edge and other chromium based browsers. Memes and other videos from the internet play fine.
My video transcode settings are default, with only the video codec changed to VP9. I have not tried to press the job button to transcode videos, I don't know if that is done automatically.
Is there a fix?

Bump
And again bump
I'm seeing the same. Also that it works fine on chrome browsers. I've verified that the source files (both original and transcoded) are fine, so its likely an issue with firefox
Same. Likely codec support. But why? Can we fix it?
My guess would be its gonna be some front end changes to support the odd firefox issues. Quite common in front end development afaik.
as the user though, best we can do is create a bug in the github. Couldn't find one myself so if you wanna create one go for it
Is VP9 even supported in Firefox?
I have my video codec set to h264 and am seeing the issue. Could be unrelated and VP9 could be unsupported
Are all videos transcoded automatically? Or only when you press transcode in the UI?
this will probably be fixed in the next release. i think it's caused by some video streams in the video not being transcoded, so the remaining stream(s) are still web-incompatible
all videos are transcoded on upload if they meet the transcode policy in the settings
