Fix doc martens bought too big

Hellou, I have a pair of doc martens chelsea boots that are too big for me (like probably 1 size too big), I used them too much already to return them, is there anything I can do to make them work, like an extra sole?

A nice comfy insole might help quite a bit! I've done that with leather boots that were a bit too big

yeah just bung an insole in and that should work

Heel grip pad might help too if you can get one to stick, but might be tricky with the slip on

Buy a super thick leather insole from dalesleatherworks.com Also wear super thick wool socks you can buy them at like rei or bass pro shops or something

Iā€™ve had decent results with adhesive tongue pads, but if itā€™s a whole size then you might need a combo of all of the above solutions.

If it was 0.5 size too big I'd recommend all the above. 1 entire size too big though? Return/exchange. No point messing up your feet and body on the long run

Tongue pad >>> insole and heel pad

save yourself the heartache and trouble and don't try to make incorrectly sized shoes work. resell them and get a pair in the right size

Thanks for the suggestions, Iā€™ll probably try insoles :)
