My #1 and #2 biggest fashion inspirations of all time, for basically as long as i have been conscious about style, are FRUiTS magazine and Star Wars. They both draw on Japanese culture and historical influences but recontextualize them in a new and inventive way. I am definitely sliding more ivy/prep these days but the styling from FRUiTS and the layering from star wars are always my GOATs

Mordechai Rubinstein (mistermort) was my first big style inspiration when i got into tumblr/fashion in 2013 and remains a big inspiration for how he uses colors and mixes recognizable items
Miyagi Hidetaka x Yamaha came out with this in 2019 and it deeply inspired my decision to buy my first bike and the maxmialist gear I’ve bought/designed for riding

My style has always been influenced by musical artists in a big way. Tyler the Creator was already mentioned, but the ones that really started it all were Selena Quintanilla-Pérez and Prince.
My inspo is all over the place. I think the only fashion accounts I follow outside of this community are Yuthanan and undercover.
I love learning the history behind military clothes (m65s, chinos, strichtarn, etc.)
oh and a weird one for fashion but brutalist architecture
Not that odd, after all arguably the most influential sneaker designer, Tinker Hatfield, was a trained architect who referenced it constantly in his designs
I’ve always had an affinity for brutalist architecture, I think this makes sense tbh
as a 90s kid from edinburgh, I think we all took a bit of inspiration from the tearaway rebellious trainspotting boys. Thankfully never got into heroin tho
