safe to disable enforce-secure-profile on a public server?
would disabling "enforce-secure-profile" be a bad idea on a public server? some players are having issues with it, but i can't seem to find out what exactly this feature does.
running on paper 1.20.1 latest build.

yes
its completely fine
its even a requirement for geyser to work
(probably not applicable in ur case if u dont use geyser) but theres no issue in disabling it
appreciate it, do you happen to know how it works, or its purpose? i run an almost fully vanilla server and it feels concerning to disable some verification/secure feature. i understand its probably useless tho.
it just causes issues
hmm i see, thats interesting. many thanks for the quick answers, i'll mark this as solved if i can!
