I can only host 2 specific servers on 2 specific ports
I have 2 separate servers running on ports 25565 and 25566. They work fine. After updating the jar of the 25565 server, players outside the network can no longer connect to it (but I can locally). I tested it out, and not only are no other servers hosted on 25565 (one at a time, of course) available to the public, but no servers are accessible via any other ports. I have verified all relevant ports are forwarded correctly on the router (and they have to be, because the original 2 servers still appear perfectly fine to players). I have tried hosting multiple types of servers (paper, fabric, velocity) on multiple ports to no avail. I am completely out of options, I have absolutely no clue what is going on.

Have you tried restarting the computer the server is hosted on?
Could be a ghost instance of the server running in the background
Has downgrading to the old server jar allowed players to join?
On top of the router, have you made sure the computer the server is on, is allowing those ports through the firewall?
I've tried restarting, and yes downgrading makes it work again. The PC hosting them is letting the ports thru (just windows defender), and it works fine with the 2 original servers, but not any others, on those same ports or any others. (And no i dont have them running on the same port simultaneously)
Well I guess lets take things one step at a time
So you have a server, I'm going to assume its a paper server?
are you using ip or domain, if domain maybe if you are running server on dynamic ip addresses(they change after some time) maybe domain is not updating it, and domain still has old ip, only if your server was made recently
IP
how did you get ip
how did you get your public ip address
