what style of jacket is this?
My partner saw this in an ad and likes the style. What’s it called? And does anyone have a rec for this kind of jacket in canvas or suede? Rough budget is $200-300.

That looks like a regular mao/band collar shirt, besides the weird loop button situation. A lot of mall brands used to have them, not so much anymore. Off the top of my head, Industry of All Nations still makes these. For a jacket similar to this you could try a Harrington or cafe racer. Suede will be hard to find at your budget unless you're buying secondhand
