SSL Error due to missing root CA for AWS domain with root CNAME to Pages
Hi all!
I have a domain registered on AWS route 53, let's call it
example.com
. The content of the website is hosted on cloudflare pages at the address ˋexample.pages.devˋ.
To point the domain to ˋpages.devˋ without redirection, I have put a NS record on Route 53 pointing to cloudflare DNS.
On cloudflare DNS' side, i have put a CNAME and ˋexample.comˋ is now an alias of ˋexample.pages.devˋ.
Now, ˋexample.comˋ shows the content of ˋexample.pages.devˋ without redirection so that's good!
There is only one issue: it doesn't display on some browser (like my TV or random macbooks in public stores) saying "This server could not prove that it is example.com; its security certificate is not trusted by your computer's operating system. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection."
I have run an online DNS check and it says "Your certificate could not be chained to a valid, trusted CA root, likely due to missing or invalid Intermediate certificate(s). This may result in errors displayed for your site by some browsers. " or "Root 1 missing"
Do you have an idea of what I should do? Any help appreciated 🙏
