Gold Chains
Hey yo,
I’m thinking about picking up a gold chain.
Anyone have a guide on them? Thickness, length, cut, recommended companies? I’ve heard people say Etsy is the best way to go but I’ve never bought anything off there. I do like this design from Jacoje:

I mean, it looks like a stereotypical gold chain. If you want one and have the money get it. Actual nice gold jewelry with actual thought put into the design / construction / materials (see: Good Art Hollywood's 22kt jewelry or Werkstatt Munchen's gold pieces) are going to be considerably more expensive and above your budget
Eh I wouldn’t say it’s stereotypical other than that’s it’s gold and a chain. Cuban link is probably the most common followed by Figaro, at least in the south.
It’d be nice to afford chains like that but no one starts off with a Rolex ya know? Got any recs in my ball park? I noticed Gold chains aren’t super big on MFA so I’d appreciate it
Got you! Is there a reason you want gold in particular? Do you feel that it complements the way you dress?
I ask because at that price point you can get truly fantastic silver jewelry that, at least in my opinion, will look far better than gold at that price point.
I’m blonde so it’d be a good compliment. Silver always looks a little funny on my palish skin. I was thinking about getting some cheap fake chains off Amazon and seeing how they’d look in terms of length and thickness
@.zidgel Jacoje is pretty close to gold market price and very reputable

Oh wait lmao
That’s literally the link u sent
lol thanks for the second recommendation tho
I would advise against shopping solely for your hair color - that’s a very limiting way to look at your options
With that kind of budget you should really look for something you genuinely like vs buy something you feel like you’re supposed to. If you do really feel like you want gold, you should definitely shop secondhand or even get the fake shit first. $1300 is a lot of money to throw away
