Upgraded server and copied all files to new machine, now crashing and server randomly overloading
I purchased a new VPS from the same company and loaded a backup onto the new server. the server works fine (went from 6GB 2 cores to 8GB 4 cores, using papermc 1.20.1) but occasionally the entire server will begin lagging so hard i can't even ssh in or do anything except pull the plug on it and reset. nothing's changed between the two configurations and all the programs and files are all the same. i've installed spark to see if it's a plugin but i don't know if it's something on my server's end or on my vps's end because i've never had this issue even on my old server which withstood ddos attacks better than just 2 people playing on it. everything absolutely locks up including non-minecraft processes as well
if it helps any i use ubuntu 22.04 lts on 1and1. i don't know how i could begin to post logs since the logger seems to crash along with everything else and the entire system freezes and everything is lost. i've been backing everything up
