pieces that go with this sweater?

I am considering buying this turtleneck tank sweater but wasn’t sure what type of outfits it could be incorporated into. I tried it on envisioning it would look great with the white pants + silver jewelry + black flats, but I don’t think one outfit is enough to justify the price, even though I love how it looks. I’m trying to spice up my wardrobe anyway as I mostly own jeans and solid color t-shirts and would love some suggestions for overshirts or pants that lean into this vibe.

I don’t own a lot of shoes either tbh. Here is the current array and I’m looking into getting some black boots soon for the winter

I'm kinda confused on what you are asking. The sweater vest feels a little awkward, like it seems like you could achieve the same thing with a black tank top for a lot cheaper, without significantly changing the vibe. I don't love it personally, though the look you threw together looks fine. I agree that it doesn't seem that versatile though. Your shoe collections is pretty rough, honestly to be a little blunt I'm not sure I would want to wear any of these. None seem like they would fit the vibe of the outfit you posted either. If you want to spice up your wardrobe rather than give a single photo and have us try to guess which aspects you like, you should collect an inspo album of outfits you do like and look for recurring pieces and themes, and then use that to guide your purchases and outfits. That will help prevent you from buying things that you won't use, and would allow us to provide better guidance if you ask for help here.

That’s so fair. I’ll start collecting some pictures and revisit this topic once I can show a bit more of what I’m going for + ask for specific suggestions on where to buy certain pieces Shoes are so rough since I’m a men’s 6. Basically unseen in stores lol

Ya, for example I got a lot of help going from A to B in this thread here: https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1130222370179793076 Ya I get that, that is a super rough size. Keep in mind if your feet are slimmer there often isn't that much of a difference for a lot of sneakers and similar shoes between the mens and womens versions. Generally the womens shoes are a B width (mens are often D) but otherwise the same sizing, could help find some things.

Thank you! I appreciate the example of the type of content I should try to collect for more guided advice :) And yeah, that’d be super helpful! Even buying shoes for work was a nightmare since I’m literally in kids sizes

Having a basic inspo album is definitely the place to start your fashion journey. I sourced that from brands lookbooks, runways, WAYWT, insta, etc if you are looking for sources. There are some users that may be able to give more guidance on those size feet in this discord as well, beyond "just buy women's shoes" lol, but I suspect thats a large amount

I’m honestly looking to learn more into androgyny in the way I approach my outfit styling so it might be alright to just buy women’s shoes haha. I might make a specific thread about it once I get the direction I want to go figured out

There are definitely some users here who can help with that, I'm not one of them unfortunately

For me I've found a black tank mock/turtleneck to be a workhorse piece. This looks cool, and if you're drawn to it I'd vote go for it. It's the kind of top you can pair with most pants, so I wouldn't suspect you'll have a ton of issues with that? You can test out tucking it in or layering it under jackets to change its vibe too. For the shoes I'm buying all of mine from the women's section, but it kind of depends what kind of shoes you're looking for. There is a lot of carryover to womenswear from menswear (more than the other direction at least) so you'll be able to get pretty masc shoes so long as you're paying careful attention to the details (and you can always ask here for a shoe check if you need)
