Do piercings look good no matter your style/ “aesthetic”?

So I might get a nose piercing and I was wondering if it was only certain styles that could make them look good or if any style could rock them?

"Any style" might not be the right question to ask. Does YOUR style work with a pierced nose? If you're considering it, I'm guessing the answer is yes. I'm assuming you don't work in a bank and wear navy/charcoal business suits.

They are more congruent with some styles than others, but its a lot easier to change your clothing style than piercings. I personally wouldn't let my clothing style stop me from getting tattoos/piercings (and have not, despite it being a bit of a contrast) so.

no, i don’t i usually wear more earthy tones i’ll take that into account, thank you i’m not sure yet if it would look good, i am considering it because it would look pretty cool imo

well, I was referring more to "business suits", not the color of the suit.

And having a contrast between your style and personal look can work (though it can be a little hard to make it work). I dress with a lot of prep influences, have a tattoo sleeve, wear a lot of jewlery, and have my ears pierced. At times I screw it up and it clashes, but I prefer a bit of contrast between the clothes and me when it works.

I think piercings look hard as hell when paired with aesthetics they're 'not supposed to' go with

for a lot of nose piercings, you can just get a temp/fake ring to try out before going in for the real thing

yeah, I'm imagining being the wedding guest with the best suit and the most piercings.

oooh okay! when you go to get the actual thing do they let you try on a fake one while you’re there or?

No, you should order one to try before making an appointment. And make sure you go to a reputable piercer (they have a lot of overlap with tattoo shops), not a random shop in the mall giving shitty piercings to teenagers who don't know better. They will be a bit more expensive, but piercings last a lifetime with proper care.

okay, makes sense, i wouldn’t wanna go to a random one in the mall anyways just because they could fuck it up. sounds good, thank y’all!

I realized I don’t want piercings by messing around with a jump ring from my family’s craft closet, so if you’ve got anything like that you can use it to try. I think a nose stud would look good with dark suits but someone’s boss might not lol
