Having DNS/MS Connectivity Issues Need Help/Solutions!

Got a quick question what can lead to massive differences in ms to dns servers? for example this one dns I ping gives me these numbers(Attachment of .txt file shows all): Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=36ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=51ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=48ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=82ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=306ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=36ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=145ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=40ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=62ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=234ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=139ms TTL=xxx ..... Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=40ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=48ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=303ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=218ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=335ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=88ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=37ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=39ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=125ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=309ms TTL=xxx Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: bytes=32 time=40ms TTL=xxx If anyone knows what can be causing this please let me know I have reset my network settings flushed my dns and ip with a bunch of commands in windows powershell. Full ping session is in the .txt attachment.

Network Congenstion (i.e if you're using all your bandwidth), Wifi, packet loss, etc. ICMP is low priority on a lot of things as well, 8.8.8.8 for example has zero guarantee on icmp traffic, and in the past has blocked it for a bit I believe. If you want to test the latency/response of a dns server, send a DNS Query, like using dig. MTR would also give you more information. If you're just randomly checking on things, I wouldn't worry about it unless it actually effects you/you're actually having an issue

Yeah I am having an issue it seems I randomly get high ping for a bit. Sometimes I totally disconnect from my wifi and it shows no internet in the bottom right I end up having to disable and re-enable my wifi adapters about 2 times for it to reconnect to my wifi

If you're using Wifi it's the first thing I would blame, congenstion on the channel you are using, too far away /causing loss, etc

I am the only one in my place using the wifi currently and I am situated about 44 ft away from my router and 3 walls between drywall you also mentioned channel what kind of channel are you talking about like the one on my router that I can change?

to better explain, congestion on a wifi channel is referring to other wifi networks using that same channel and interfering, there's only so many. If you're in an area, like an apartment, where a lot of other people have wifi as well, it's a probable cause. There are apps you can get on your phone to analyze the different channels, and then you can manually pick one on your router. 44 feet is a fair distance away. If you've been this far away for a while and hadn't had any issues until now, then it's probably unrelated, and I would look into issues with channel / wifi adapter / upstream isp. well, 44 feet would be a fair distance away for 5 GHZ, it looks like for 2.4 ghz the max is around 150

I have tried swapping to different channels and running speed tests and it seemed like there wasn't too much of a difference the one I am on now I am pretty sure is the best one for my area. Also I am not in a apartment so it should be all good in general for that. I haven't had much problems for quite a while, but I have gotten quite complacent with this wifi problem and I am looking for a solution to finally fix it. So yeah the distance should be good and I don't think that is an issue (even if it was I don't have much of a choice to move the router or my set up currently). Wifi adapter problems I tried looking into got into reseting the wifi adapter and removing it to install the new/updated drivers, but it didn't seem to fix it. I don't know much if anything about upstream isp and it seems like a hard issue to resolve. I am using 5GHZ but I have a 2.4 GHZ option is the 2.4 better?

5 ghz supports higher faster but more limited range / goes through walls less, Google says like 50 feet max for 5 ghz but it's going to depend on your router as well 2.4 ghz supports less speeds but is better at distance (like 150 ft)

so the 2.4 ghz would be more stable? Should I do the ping test with the 2.4 wifi connected?

I would try that yea

ok pinging rn with the same dns as the one in the original thread gonna let it run for a few seconds ok wtf massive differnce sorry internet cut out there for a bit I got bad results not sure if it was with the network change or the thing with my internet just cut out whatever that maybe causing it.
