urgently need assistance! I have a domain registered with Freenom, and when I checked my Cloudflare website page, it shows that it's not pointed to Cloudflare, even though I've already set the correct Cloudflare nameservers for the domain. Can someone please help me resolve this issue?

Does your domain end in .ml ?
If so then they stopped working as people were mistyping the email address for .mil so some government ceased operation of the TLD
AFAIK
My .ml domain also stopped working but it doesn't really matter as it was just a test domain
If it's not ml, sharing the name of the actual domain would make troubleshooting much easier. It'll take a bit for Cloudflare to see the change as well, isn't instant if you just changed it
its .ml š

r/freenom - .ml domains are getting taken down and no longer manage...

It's unfortunate to see my domain go, especially considering the emails and personal projects i had associated with it. I'm curious about what will happen to the domains that people have paid for š¤
anyways thank you @chaika.me and @sohamjain
it seems its just that their contract with freenom expired, nothing to do directly with military stuff
The ten-year contract with Freenom expired on 17 July 2023.but yea, unfortunely free domains leave you with no protections, freenom was the actual legal owner of the domain. If you buy a domain yourself, ICANN regulates them and you have certain guarantees like being able to transfer, keep your domain, etc (even more with generic tlds like com then country code specific TLDs like ml, where ccTLDs have less restrictions)
Protection my ass š
I used Namecheap and my TLD Registry operator suspended me, demanded my ID, then ghosted me
for "pharming attacks" caused by Cloudflare Page Rules

You get way more protections then with freenom eitherway, and to a degree that is going to depend on the actual registry/TLD owner. ccTLDs have more leeway in how they deal with stuff/their abuse policies, gTLDs have more policies set by ICANN.
anyone know any other sites which has similar quality which provides free domains?
If you're a student the Github student developer pack has a few free ones from reputable brands
Ah right ok
