Best affordable dress shirts?
I read in a couple old posts that Charles Tyrwhitt is the best but there are some recent ones that say the quality has declined. I currently have Uniqlo and Express dress shirts that I do not have any issues with. Is there a large difference between Charles Tyrwhitt and these two?

I rate CT but haven't bought in about 4 years. Quality was great then and they still look great.
Do you own any Express, Uniqlo, or other dress shirts? My biggest concern is that I would not be able to go in store to try stuff on so I might have to do a lot of returns and would like to make sure that the quality difference is worth it.
Have they lasted that long with frequent use?
Charles Tyrwhitt is a shirt and suit maker mainly. I would buy their shirts on that basis over a generic fast fashion brand like express/Uniqlo
I got a CT shirt recently and it's fine for the £40 I paid for it. No different to the cheaper shirts I got years ago.

Charles Tyrwhitt is still as good as it’s going to get for $35 shirts. Nothing really comes close
The value proposition of the shirts package at CT is unmatched imo and quality is a step above Uniqlo. They're pretty boring stylistically though, just pure basic biz caz stuff.
Also they've started putting their monogram on some of their shirts which you may or may not like (the logo is a little bird, done in a non-contrasting colour)
I'm looking at the shirts right now an apparently "MONEY23" still works. 3 shirts for $33./ea. Free shipping. I'm tempted even if it's 3 white dress shirts.
I like the fit on Express I just wish I had a better fit idea for Tyrwhitt.

I bought a couple CT shirts and the fabric was nice but the fit was absolutely atrocious. Like wearing a sack with sleeves and a collar.
Wouldn't you go extra slim? I thought I heard CT ran small?
which fit did you get? I find the slim fit about what you'd expect from slim
