Modern alternative to these shoes?
I've had these Vans from circa 2016 and have loved how versatile they have been. Is there a newer version of something like this (any brand) that is still in style? I typically wear them for "upscale casual" purposes. Would these work with pants and shorts? Thanks!

Vans are classics, stick with em if you like the fit / shape / comfort etc. 🙂
Can't go wrong with some Vans Eras in all white for example. Very much still in style

I wouldn't go for this model, the contrast tongue is a miss for me
White vans are a classic but I don't know if I'd call any vans "upscale casual." It's very much a beater sneaker. For "upscale casual," a casual leather (non-sneaker) shoe is probably your best bet.
I was using "Upsace casual" very loosesly, as I live in hick-ville lol. Not sure a casual leather shoe is what i'm looking for, as i'm looking for something to fit with khaki shorts.
Yeah, white canvas sneaks should be good then
