Alterations
How often, when buying either new or thrifted, are you all altering & hemming your products? I've always struggled with finding the right length/size & fit of certain items, until I realized how affordable hemming is.
What percentage of your wardrobe has been brought to a tailor? And what are some things you do to new clothing for a better fit, that someone might not know is possible?

Most my trousers are tailored, most my tops (except suit jackets) aren't.
Shrinking nearly anything is possible, growing it is often not. Altering broadly structural elements (neck & shoulders on tops, waist & seat on trousers) too much is going to be either expensive or produce weird results if you do too much of it.
I can hem for myself at home, so that helps.
I am an outlier with my measurements so I often get sleeves or pants hemmed. For shirts and tops I'm usually picky enough that I find something which fits.
However once you develop some personal style/happy with it all, you generally tend to buy less compared to experimenting at the start.
Think it's probably around 10-20% which has been to a tailor.
Mainly my trousers length and jacket sleeve length that’s really it
