What is the occasion? In my mind, "Go out and have fun with friends" usually wouldn't call for a suit, but maybe I'm too new to menswear circles to know about the secret suit-only clubs
A friend invited me and group of friends(around 10) to the theaters to watch Oppenheimer. He thought it would be funny if everyone dressed up

I wouldn't do New Era or Mens Warehouse based simply on reputation from regulars here. The above seem to be passable as "cheap suits" go.

With some discount codes it looks like you can get a jcrew Ludlow suit in navy for about $180, that might be your best option without shopping secondhand which will take time.
