I personally wouldn’t Uniqlo U for hot weather, it’s quite heavyweight

Recently I was in the quest for hot weather tshirts as well. I found some nice options with merinos and tech fabrics, very breathable and limiting odors. Patagonia has the Cap Cool tshirts, for instance.

Not cheap, but the benchmark for tee shirts for me is Sunspel

Capilene Cool tees get pretty stinky in my experience I can’t speak for the merino ones tho, I imagine they are better for odor control Patagonia also has cotton and hemp tees that are nice for hot weather

merino is the best for me, tees are in the 50-70€ range but totally worth it. Could go cheaper with hiking/outdoor brands and secondhand, though those feature sometimes not the best colors or prints. Airism is nice if you don't sweat imo

Have you tried linen?

I use merino long sleeves for hiking and it's just the best fabric to manage sweat and odors, I agree

is the supima better or airism

Supima is 100%. Airism has a cotton/plastic mix. Try on both and see which you like

Everybody talking about fabric, no one about fit. Get a looser cut so air can flow. Hence UU

Lol Realistically more expensive options would be Outlier ramie and sportsweights... I have a Uniqlo U and I can't wear it without sweating everywhere

I have some 300gsm cotton tshirts and while they look great they are no use in summer
