Chunky/ugly/dad sneakers w/o branding
Hi there!
I am looking for chunky/ugly/dad sneakers w/o branding. I think Axel Arigato Marathon, NB 990 V3, and ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 are the closest to what I am looking for in terms of style, but other chunky/ugly/dad sneakers might also work. Something "cleaner" would be great: I wouldn't mind Kayano 14 if the ASICS pattern wouldn't be so well-known.
Location, online/offline: happy to import to Mexico City or can pick 'em next time I am traveling to Europe
Timescale: not urgent, mild preference for getting them sooner rather than waiting for a sale

How about the Hoka Bondi L in suede, they have some branding on the heel but especially in the monochrome colorways it's pretty minimal. Hoka are also comfy af

Diadora N9000, has branding but kind of just blends into the panelling design
Thank you! I looked at HOKA and didn't "fuck yeah" anything. Oh, Diadora is such a find, I like the aesthetic of their heritage line a lot; would take a closer look!
Spalwart makes some sick ones
I have a pair of diadoras that I've used for running for years and I have completely beat them to shit, but the soles are still holding up great. Really impressed with their build quality

What is MFA's opinion on Veja? They might have some options. They weren't really on my radar until I saw a million of them in France. The branding seems relatively unobtrusive.
They seem like a decent brand and I like their sustainability and fair trade policies. Pretty nice looking too, I have definitely seen them popping up a lot more recently around the UK
Veja: if common projects tried to be less boring by putting butter on their toast.
I joke, they're fine, not very interesting, every creative industries person about 10 years older than me seems to wear a pair.
I see the chunky suede ones being worn pretty often, this kinda thing
Thank you, everyone! I found a pair of Arigato's with a great discount, so went for them. And will keep an eye on a few other recommendations (Flower Mountain, Diadora, and Spalwart). Cheers!
