Best way to set up proxy for local Java server

Hi, new to all of this so apologies if this is not the place for this. I want to set up a Vanilla Minecraft (Java) server for me and some friends (maybe 10-15). To make things cheaper I want to host it on my home network using my own equipment, and instead pay for a proxy server that will simply route traffic to my server on my home network so that I can avoid posting my public IP? I have looked at BungeeCord, however it seems I need multiple servers for it to work. Is there an alternate option to make a simple proxy that my friends can connect to to play on the server I am hosting locally?
