A right-wrist bracelet to complement a rose gold and blue watch?

Since I got this rose gold VC Overseas, no bracelet I own seems like a deserving enough pairing. I am looking for something maybe 5-7mm and under or around $2k that works with this piece (also can be worn on its rose gold bracelet). It should be a more sophisticated design, so nothing too “Bali-beach-bum.” I’m in the NYC orbit for background.

I like what the French brand Le Gramme does. And they have some red gold options. https://legramme.com/products/bracelet_11g_or-rouge-750_poli_lisse_cable

Good call, I like some of what they’re doing. The minimal cuffs are great. Overpriced but great.

Yeah a bit pricey. It's kind of trending right now in Paris, so the price goes up

Does VC make non watch bracelets? I like the le gramme suggest

You're wearing a VC you can afford it

I wish! It is rather cheeky though, how Le Gramme named itself after how you measure the value of small gold items and then made sure their pricing had absolutely nothing to do with this.

Groundbreaking fact: labor costs money If it's not mass produced it will cost more money And gold is an expensive metal

Typical is to add maybe 50% to the bullion value if you’re buying from the 47th street folks. Double it for a jerelry store. These guys are like 5x Hey they’re charging that and getting it. So good for them. I just thought the name was a little ironic.

its made from recycled materials which is absolutely driving the cost up, and with french labor and its associated costs i mean its definitely overpriced but thats kinda a theme with jewlery like this

And i mean, you also pay a lot for the design. Yes it's minimalistic but it's what makes it look nice

I mean if you think it's worth that then hey, all good

OP has a €65k watch, he's clearly not concerned with whats "worth it"

A $65k watch that’s worth around $80k that I got for $55k… It occurred to me to see if my jeweler could make one of these cable bracelets. But you know. I bet they couldn’t. That design is pretty unique. Uniqueness in such a minimal form is rare. Def growing on me

So I love the idea of this piece, but something I’m a bit concerned about: the cable wants to fly open and so it kind of spreads apart on the wrist if you let it. I wonder if it’s perhaps a bit TOO industrial. I wonder if, being gold; it will soften and get less stiff
zacheadams
zacheadams16mo ago
I doubt it will soften any real amount We can't really tell how it looks on the whole without a fit It's probably fine

On some of the pics it looks great. Maybe it's the way you twisted it in the first place, to put in on your wrist?

absolutely crazy collection respect for the UN freak! contrasts with your mostly conservative classy collection do you have your eyes on the VC 222? looks like that might be your cup of tea
Citizen 16710
Citizen 16710OP16mo ago
Thanks! I do love it. I’ve mostly focused on iconic, versatile and/or historically important pieces up until now and have tried to avoid much duplication in wearing experience. While I would love a 222, I’m sure it would detract from the wrist time of the Blue Rose 4500V, which I like better. Personally, I feel like a guy who rocks a 222 should be a little older and mostly only wear that one piece

Every time I think I want something expensive I realise there's something more interesting for 1/10th the price or less
