CPU & Minecraft Server

Hi, to run a Minecraft server, what is the performance difference between a Ryzen 7 5800X and a Ryzen 5 3600 and an i3-13100? At the moment I have a Ryzen 7 5800X (hosting services) but I would like to buy a small server, for not too much money. So I wanted to know if the performance difference is big between the Ryzen 7 5800X and the others.

Compare the price to the amount of effort you want to put into it, and how long you expect the server to live. If it costs you $400 to build something or $20 a month to rent, it would take 20 months before building something would be cheaper. Not including time or power The hardware itself comes second to your own budget. Do the math, see what you can afford, and then find what can fit in what you can afford.

I will not use this server only for Minecraft. What I wanted to know was the difference in performance between the different cpus

Google some bench marks for the tasks you want it to do then

Depends on the tasks you want it to do.

Mainly Minecraft server, some web hosting, stuff like that

Minecraft servers use high single core count cpus the best, web hosting uses multiple cores the best. But none of that is a reason not to do the math comparing prices between them.

Before I was on Xeon, but i was fed up with the chunks not loading and the slow server to start

It doesn't matter if the best hardware for you is a 5800x if you can't afford it.

It is a little above my budget, but if it brings a high performance difference it can still be interesting

any recent CPUs should be fine, my i7 8700 still handles mc server generation fantastically :TNT:

Be careful about your qualifiers, "any" "recent" is very vague. :P I've seen people try to host on a i3-11154G4. A $20 laptop CPU.
