This is probably dumb but can anybody deduce what these jeans are, or can rec something similar?
Yea I know you probably won't be able to tell me the brand though if you could that would be awesome, but anything even similar would be nice.

They are selvedge (that's the white edging enclosing the inner seam) tapered fit and either faded with age or a mid wash. Impossible to tell the brand but there will be many options if you search those key words
if you really care about finding the brand you can look up brands that use an orange selvedge ID (little strip of orange between the white and the indigo)
This is a big help too, thanks!
Thank you so much.

More than one brand will use the orange ID. Edwin is a good brand though.
I can probably look online to get this answer but I've never had a pair of jeans like that, do they fit true to normal size?
Every brand's going to fit a bit differently with jeans. Best to find the brand you want first, then consult some size charts. A lot of them are vanity sized, but then most clothes are these days.
Besides Edwin does MFA have a preferred choice? Or a few?
No, not necessarily. Edwin is a good brand like people have said.
They have good washes if you aren't looking for raw.
MFA likes Orslow (ORslow rules) but I don't think tehy offer anything that tapered or skinny looking
I like the color of the image I posted so thats mainly what I'm trying to find. I'm sure all of this is a great help for yalls recs lol.

Thats a good idea too. Thank you.
Just a heads up the world of raw selvedge denim is vast and people have a million opinions on what is the best. Asking what someone recommends can be hard to answer because there is a ton of nuance in selvedge denim. Just don’t want you to feel discouraged when you get non answers, its not an easy question to answer
No one has mentioned this yet, but these are also pinrolled. So even if you find these exact jeans, they're not going to hit your ankle like that unless you roll them as well.
I figured as much to be honest.
I also shouldve stated I wanted them for pin rolling.
Ya just be clear what you’re looking for Vs asking for a consensus
I remember pinrolled jeans from 7th-8th grade, ca. 1989.
Apparently they're back, and in pog form.
This is what I went with since they're a little cheaper to try them out.

Those should be good đź‘Ť
I hope so, my first ever pair of "nice" jeans. I've got a ranch down here but it isn't my full time job but my jeans are all exclusively wrangler since I wear my boots all day every day but they just don't look good with any of my sneaker collection so I only ever wear those with joggers or shorts. Hoping to branch out here and rock the pin roll too.
As said the world of higher end denim is pretty vast. I know we've moved off reddit here but r/rawdenim is a good resource
