Texas Shopping
Anyone know of any good places to shop in Texas? I’m mainly in central texas (Austin/San Antonio areas).
I know a couple of 2nd streets opened up in Austin which I’ll probably check out but I also want to check out other styles from the stuff you typically find there.

ByGeorge and Kickpleat are great.
On south congress: Allen's boots, Stag Provisions, and Sabah are right by each other (along with a ton of other stores). South congress can get pretty touristy but there are a lot of neat spots.
On guad: there is Nice Kicks (sneaker store), Buffalo Exchange, Flamingos, and Pavement (used clothes) are all on the same block
and not clothes but Uncommon Objects is a really cool antique store if you're into that.
also say hi to Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken on my behalf i miss it so much 😭

La BBQ and Micklethwait Craft Meats are my BBQ picks because you should be eating BBQ there, or Veracruz tacos.
Yeah La Barbecue is honestly as good as franklin imo with 1/10 of the wait
Wow I didn’t know there was that many places to shop in Austin. I live in San Antonio but I go to Austin every now and then but not enough to know all these things
I think I had planned to go to uncommon objects but it just didn’t work out with the plans for the day
Austin's strength is vintage so it can be really hit or miss
I worked at the buffalo on guad for 2 years haha
That’s good to know! I’m interested to see what shows up at the vintage stores in Texas. I always just assume it’s hypebeast stuff but I know Texas can surprise you with some nice little hidden treasures
if you ever want a crazy experience go to the goodwill bins haha. I saw a big snake in the bins one time
but i also got a coogi sweater for literally cents
Bins in Austin sounds great. Shopping in SA is so bad I just go to estate sales to stock my knickknack shelves
oh yeah garage/estate sales in the summer can yield some crazy finds. I really miss that living in nyc
Yeah I’ve found some stuff that would be cool in vintage shops but nothing I’d personally wear. A log of vintage oil company clothes lmao
I get clothes at Penners a decent bit (www.pennersinc.com) in SATX. Good for guayaberas.
