Unclear on blazer/suiting convention, have a blazer that I'm looking to style but need help doing so
Hey y'all.
If you've seen what I typically wear in #waywt, you'll see that I don't typically run for the blazers when looking for outerwear to style.
I have this vintage blazer that I got when I was about 20lbs heavier, and I think based on the shoulders and sleeve length now, it's still salvageable in my wardrobe.
Is this a correct assumption? Is there a particular look that I should lean into that accentuates the blazer or find larger trousers to balance out the overall size of the piece?
Let me know your thoughts. If you don't know how I dress and think I'm going to ask for help in general suiting convention, please consult my previous fits in #waywt.

I see what you mean about the sleeves. I think I'd want to maintain the sanctity of the garm's pockets. I do agree that i would only go unbuttoned with it
So the botttom of the jacket does seem to be at the bottom of the crotch. Could you try to get a pic of yourself w the camera at waist height?
The sleeves are too long, but thats not too bad of a fix
Does the torso feel super roomy?
I have a giant phone this was very hard
Kind of? Not billowy, but not fitted either, just kinda straight
It falls along my chest right but then makes room around my stomach
I actually think the length is good! Its just a bit awk with the cropped pants
If I had different pants at the home I was at, I'd probably put em on, but I'm just puttering around my parents' place
If you wanted to get a tailor to shape the torso a bit you could but it seems pretty good as is
I feel like i remember you having some long cream colored pants and those would be sweet w this jacket
I do like those pants, but I think they're in need of a sunbleaching, lookin a lil dull rn. Thanks for the motivation to do that!
