20,000 files limit and plans

Hi all, according https://developers.cloudflare.com/pages/platform/limits/ there is a limit of 20000 files in the free plan. This page referring to the Cloudflare plan page for details to remove the limits. But on the plan page I can't find anything related to this limitation. Is the files limitation the same in all plans?

@skye_31 thank you. It is very low for a multi language site with a lot of content. Also we do the images (multiple variants for resolution and file compression type) by the Astro builder because we had multiple issues on cloudflare images such as speed, hashes in the filename (ux/seo), and no support of avif. Is there some way a workaround for this? E.g. Multiple cloudflare accounts, cloudflare enterprise,...?

I was just looking at Netlfiy out of curious comparison. They have a 54,000 file per directory limit but no limit overall. Might be worth looking at other static hosts if that's your need.

@behalf Sure, but there is a cost for SSR too and static Pages hosting doesn't meet their needs

@skye_31 Thank you for your suggestion. Yes, we looked into SSR before. We couldn't enable SSR because astro-imagetools (building the images optimized within Astro) uses native Node.js addons, which is not possible to bundle and make work in the Cloudflare workers runtime. Any reason why having this technical limit and not give it as an option within plans or so? We prefer cloudflare because multiple reasons such as sustainable, speed and security above other edge hosting parties. Any idea if those issues will be resolved? Okay thank you @skye_31 . I hope it will have some priority. I looked for some solution, and found a suggestion by ChatGPT that it might help with making multiple repositories, projects and routings. Possibly that can help for now, but my question related to that if the file limitation is per Cloudflare pages or for the whole account?
