Sportcoat with a denim shirt
Hi!
I’m looking for a western vibe for a cocktail-attire wedding.
I have a great pair of bourbon Lucchese boots and I’d like to wear a denim shirt and a blazer with them.
I love the look of a tweed blazer with a denim shirt but I fear it might be too warm for this wedding.
Besides tweed are there any sportcoat options I might look into on eBay, or maybe new from Spier and Mackay? Or are there any lighter tweed options out there that I can search for?
I’ve attached pics of the boots and shirt in question. I’ll be wearing this with a pair of stone khakis or darker wash jeans.

This really isn't cocktail attire
Is the wedding dress code specifically cocktail attire?
There is summer tweed made of silk, linen, etc

It’s cocktail “or whatever you are comfortable with” what would be more cocktail attire?
Cocktail attire is suit and tie
Doesn't sound like a very strict dress code though
Is the wedding in Texas?
Texas in October yep so it’ll still be hot and western attire is gonna be all over
Ok Texas has its own rules
I'd go for something like this

Thanks! They’re vintage 1985 Lucchese I got them for a steal
Texas does indeed seem to have its own rules. A cream sport coat is something I quite like (something like that is in the works.) Denim wouldn't be it unless you really really know that's what the couple want.
Everyone I think I have it please lemme know what y’all think. Including a pic of a second pair of flannel trousers I already own that I can also wear with the jacket and boots) I think. I’ve toned down the denim shirt to less casual (see pics)
Do any of these clash at first sight?
Alternatively I’d opt for a light blue Oxford if this denim shirt still seems too casual
I think in Texas, denim shirt will be fine. you can always ask the couple if you're unsure
the outfit you put up seems just fine

They said it’s pretty on point
Just curious if these all look sharp together at this point
yeah looks good
post a pic of you wearing it for more feedback
