Transitions lenses best color

I know these aren't the coolest thing to wear but given the need, what would be the best of the choices? https://www.transitions.com/en-us/products/transitions-signature/ Brown bad to me for sure. Grey is simple but perhaps something colorful is better these days?

I think green is a nice alternative that looks vintage but it depends on your personal style

It depends a ton on the frames. The combo can make it go from "not the coolest thing" to whatever your next step of that is. Color tints are a thing right now, so match up or get more than one if possible

Ah yeah that's a big head I see a lot of people with colored lenses these days so I figure it might cancel the transition dorkiness

Oh these look better!? The blue is pretty popping: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urhhLPWdIpo Not sure if they get all the way clear though. I hate subtle tint indoors

IMO, transition lenses always look like you just stepped off the 5th grade playground lol. no offence intended, but they always look kind of lame to me

There are few that look solid, but some can be done well. Just takes some planning. They’re a life compromise though, and sometimes you gotta function over form My prescription is crazy and I finally sprung for 3 pairs, knowing I’ll have to keep changing them every couple of years at great cost (plus frames if I feel like changing it up). One transition, one regular pair, one dedicated sunglasses (great for driving, too). Took a lot to get there for me. If I had to pick just one, it’s the transitions

Agreed. But they do look a lot better now. E.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wt-mbvqM7kw

lmao not really and its not about the frames, its more the 5 mins where they are fading once you come inside that make em look goofy to me

The new ones (I've only had the last couple of years) don't take long to fade. Maybe a minute. You look somewhere in-between normal glasses and Robert Downey Jr. That's a fine place to be for a few seconds. The awkwardness used to be they never looked like true sunglasses when dark. That's where you have to pick your frame+color and get them done well.

Medium gray Persols with a medium-dark gray tint, Darker gray Burberrys with a darker gray tint, blue Penguins that are just plain ole glasses. These are all progressives, but with different focus fields due to size and purpose, so I need to switch them up once in a while no matter what to keep my brain use to it
