I need help figuring out what is causing random TPS drops
My server usually has 19.98 - 20.00 TPS but it just drops at random moments and I haven't been able to figure out why. I've tried using spark but all I get is Unsafe.park() which I'm not really sure what it means.

These are not magic values. Many of these settings have real consequences on your server's mechanics. See this guide for detailed information on the functionality of each setting.
✅ Your server isn't lagging
Your server is running fine with an average TPS of 20.

its just the server waiting for smth to do
(unsafe.park)
Is there any way to solve this? Or figure out what exactly it's waiting for?
Because it drops the TPS below 5 in worst cases
its not the lag cause
oh
where is this hosted on?
windows is a weird choice as a OS
I have it hosted on a windows server
what host?
netcup
it's not a dedicated minecraft host. They provide servers
I could switch the OS to linux but I was told by a friend that since I'm more familiar with winodws it's better to just go with that since it wouldn't imporve the performance a lot
it wouldnt
You need to have spark running when you have a lag spike
it was running
Was running since I restarted the server earlier

I had another lag spike 10 minutes ago
I should also mention I've tried running
/spark profiler --only-ticks-over 150
but no matter how long I'd run it there would be no data showing even though there were occasional ticks way over 150 on tickmonitorJust had another huge lag spike:

Do u have spartan
u can see if he does
-.-
i didnt even click it i was just gonna say if u do i suggest removing it lol i had same issue and removing spartan fixed all my lag
I do not
I used to use netcup. Your problem is probably that the disk is too slow when saving playerdata
Your lag doesn't seem to be coming with an increase of MSPT. This leads me to believe that your issue is outside the standard minecraft tick loop.
So that likely leaves
Storage
Networking
CPU IO
hmm alright, thank you
Do you know any better alternative I could use? I like using netcup because their root servers are pretty cheap
a mc host is probably gonna do u alot better
alright I'll look into it ty
