Disconnecting with van 1067 since the last patch (7.01)
Got into a game last night for the first time since 7.01 arrived and all through the match, I kept disconnecting after receiving error van 1067. I had to restart the game to reconnect. After the game, I realized even after waiting for a while in the menu disconnects me with the same error. I didn't have any problems before this patch and I have no connection issues at all. So I'm not sure how or if I can fix this myself. One thing for sure is that I won't be playing any other games until I'm sure it's fixed and thankfully I can see it by waiting on the menu.

I tried uninstalling vanguard and valorant and reinstalling, tried running valorant as administrator as well. Still didn't work unfortunately
Seems like vgc in Windows Services stop working for some reason and that is Vanguard, so when it stops the game kicks us out
i already sent a ticket im waiting for response
I changed vgc service properties as such and this time instead of getting a van 1067, I got a van 1 error instead.
But yeah I guess I won't be able to play Valorant until this is fixed... :/

it disconnected me several times as well, And its kinda weird because other games work totally fine and my internet isn't the problem either, Even in practice more, It crashes me and then random updates my riot being stuck at 0 before i can actually press play again only to get sent back to the desktops lmao
The service VGC itself just randomly crashes
That's what's causing the problem
Restarting the game fixes vgc for a while or even manually starting it from the services as well
But then it only crashes again
to which I'm wondering its the game itself and it has nothing to do with our internet or hardware
Yeah that's the conclusion I arrived as well, that's why I'm not trying to fix it anymore. Hopefully there will be a hotfix for it soon.

Yes, the game isn't crashing but giving me the error and saying I should close and open the client again.

I'm never going to factory reset my whole PC just for a game, especially when there is a chance that it won't work. I would rather not play it. This started happening after a patch so the issue is obviously on developers' side.

As a first step make sure to include exceptions in your firewall so that both VALORANT and Vanguard are not blocked.
For it:
Press the Windows key
Type ''Control Panel'' and access it.
Click System and Security
Click on Windows Firewall
Click "allow an app or feature"
Add the individual exceptions for the apps:
C:\Riot Games\VALORANT\live\VALORANT.exe
C:\Riot Games\Riot Client\Riot Client Services.exe
C:\Program Files\Riot Vanguard\vcg.exe
Save the changes and preferably restart your computer.

this might help a few having the van 1067 issue, i've been getting it i've not found a permanent fix but i've found sitting in the menu for a few mins after starting val to see if it happens if it does uninstall vanguard and reinstall and reboot the game works fine then for me until next time i reboot my pc then have to repeat the process.

If you guys have Cooler Master's MasterPlus/Gigabyte App Center installed, remove those apps. That helped me to get rid of VAN 1067.

@drew still having issues? Just play a dm and when it crashes, go to task manager, take a look at processes that are running, just filter things that are non vital. Mostly utils from manufacturers are causing issues.
If you have something like that, just uninstall it for the sake of testing, run the game, and try this until you isolate the exact program causing your crash.

From my knowledge, utils from manufacturers are causing problems with Valorant's vgc. For example I had Gigabyte Control Center (motherboard), Razer Synapse (mouse) and Cooler Master's MasterPlus (headphones) installed. GCC and MasterPlus were the culprit in my case. @Vortex had an asrock motherboard I guess, but MasterPlus was causing issues for him.
Try uninstalling such utils, ie softwares that are used to control your peripherals, worth a shot imo.
If this doesn't fix your issue, communicate riot with your logs, they'll find which app is causing the issue. They found out that MasterPlus was causing issue for me, but I figured it out before them đ

Hey everyone, I just posted a solution to this problem and all i had to do was delete a single file in my computer and it seems to work. Played a whole game when before I couldn't even get through a round without dcing with van 1067.

If you've factory reset your computer for this, then you might aswell just give up.
they banned my account for a week due to me wanting this to be aware to a developer and moderators in this discord, and all they did was sit there and tell me they can't do 'anything' about it, even though i simply asked for them to tag a developer in this thread so they can be aware of this.
enjoy, rendering is fucked because i accidentally rendered in 1080x1080, but i've tried everything you guys have been recommended to try in order to fix this issue, my computer doesn't have a working firewall, so even all the stuff there saying about firewall wont work either, its actually the opposite way around lmao, if you don't have a firewall running or defender running, the game should just completely open fine and should be accepted whether its by ports, internet connection etc.
^ i've sent these videos to support, hopefully that can get some-what better response, and or get someone such as a developer to take the time to look at this.
And i wouldn't go hard factory resetting your PC. as someone has already mentioned above; it didn't work for them, it still isn't working.
If you have to hard factory reset, for one game to work on your computer that has worked normally its entire time, it clearly shows something is up and something needs to be looked at and fixed. this isn't something that ever has happened to me before and i've played the game since beta, its quite annoying how the support staff are being very bland about the response they are giving and basically giving everyone 'copy and paste' instructions out of a text file that clearly isn't helping or working on anyones side. if it was an actual fix for this issue it would work and we wouldn't be in this thread or trying to ask eachother what works and what doesnt. If you genuinely wanna reset ur computer just to play VALORANT go for your life but as far as i'm concerned i set my computer up in a way alot of other people don't set there computer up, disabling services that i know i didn't need, uninstalling bloatware that windows installs for you, disabling windows defender, disabling firewall. and thats not even half my reasoning for wanting to not do it; I genuinely do not have the time and patience to copy all my stuff over to an external hard-drive or another harddrive just to play VALORANT again when it was working completely fine in the first place.
the next thing i may attempt; is unplugging my mouse (which i already did, Superlight Pro X) aswell as my Astro Headset Transmitter. which i genuinely do not see how or why that can be a fix for a kernel based driver anti-cheat, but i'll give it an attempt just to see if it does really work, but as far as i've read up apparently its working for others and for some its not, and that shouldn't be whats happening. Developers should just be looking at this and having it as a note to look at for the next patch notes.
well for me, i assure you that unplugging my headset ASTRO before launching the game works so fine
and for me, it was the problem
they're aware of it, and are looking into it.
So yeah, unplugging my wireless transmitter has seemed to fix the problem 'for now' but this is a 'what if' this works fix. this shouldn't be permanent nor should you have to do it in order to play valorant, i'd just play something else and let them fix it when they can.
