Your world was used on a newer version before.
How do I stop this? I already downloaded all the worlds, cleared some chunks, booted that on my 1.20 minecraft. All 3 dimensions clearly say their version is 1.20, yet when I try to start the world, it still somehow thinks part of these are from 1.20.1.
Yes, I did start the server on 1.20.1 and ran into a lot of errors, therefore, I decided to downgrade to 1.20. I did use a fresh backup for the world before I used 1.20.1 though. What could be the problem?

so, did you use the current world data in 1.20.1? because if so, there's no going back.
sounds like you did.
i did. I made a mistake downloading just overworld and nether, now the end is just stuck in 1.20.1, is there a way I can just change the end back
updates are one-way. the only option is restore from backup, because the level data (and probably the spawn region) has already been 'updated' (even though it's just a point release).
yeah backups are the last resort.
I wouldn't trust anything that says it can 'revert' the update, tbh. You basically can't.
Backups are your only resort here.
this is why you do a full backup before updating :PepeHands:
you might, theoretically, be able to use an old
level.dat
from a backup since I believe that's where the world version is stored
so take the current world, drop in a level.dat
(and maybe some other files, will need to experiment here) from the most recent backup, and cross your fingers. YMMV. make backups before you do this. things might end badly, etc.I might just go back to the backup, download the end as well and then go back to the present

To be honest I didn't even think 1.20.1 back to 1.20 is that big of a headache. This is a big mistake I made.
I'm just gonna go back to the backup I made before I started the maintenance and start from there.
