how to generate start.sh with forge

i tried running it a bunch and manually making it in a txt file but they arent working. when i run the forge jar file it doesnt make a start file.

Forge will never generate the batch or script file itself They're external files that reference the .jar file It's a script, essentially If you tried running a .txt file, this won't work as it's not an executable Which OS are you on? What issues were you previously having with trying to run the file?

That's just flat out wrong. Modern forge is ONLY recommended to start using the run.bat/sh the installer generates.

Oh okay, my bad I haven't used Forge in a while I haven't ever had Forge generate a .bat/.sh before I'll retract my comments
