Just got my box. I have never opened up something so fast in my life
This is an exciting prospect. I am not averse to DIY, especially if it skips a multi-year line. But doing it all from scratch is more time then I'm willing to invest. An adult lego setup though, that sounds like a good project for a couple of weekends.
Wonderful project, would be interested in picking up the DIY kit of 02 motors and board to make a Diy yoke for Xplane 11 / 12 and an Boeing Jet liner - is Xplane 11 / 12 supported for ffb ? In the user manual the Xplane section is blank 😕
Also any links to material on how to - wire it up / Demo projects / components requirements ( Encoder / Pots ) Etc - would be greatly appreciated
:package: 🇺🇸 RHINO #0137 Has Shipped!
there are over 400 people in line before me so I'm gonna keep using my msffb2 for a while longer.
anyone knows how I can remove the msffb2 center deadzone? I don't know if the drivers allows that but they don't work on windows 10 anyway.
There are few threads floating about people using Leo Bodnar's joystick boards to achieve that. Basically the Microsoft circuits only handle FFB stuff, while the addon board handles inputs to the game. This removes deadzone from the center and IIRC doubles the resolution of input. Google "bodnar msffb" to find further info.
My excitement levels have exponentially increased
You need to buy XPForce as a plugin for Xplane. It's on the list for native VPForce compatibility but that list is as long as the Rhino list 🙂 XPForce works... but I find it less than great. I highly recommend looking into the DIY kit. It's a great way to really understand what is going on mechanically, and it's extremely satisfying to sit down and use knowing that you made it. If you have decent 3D printer and a laser cutter (or are willing to use the online services like JLCPCB) then you can do it!
I just flew the A10 after getting my base - anyone else feel like you gotta put a LOT of forward stick in? I'm trimming but nothign is happening. Running the TelemFFB mod as well.
Trim does basically nothign at this point, roll as well as pitch.
Post your VPF Configurator effects and settings tabs. Trim (and feedback trim movement of stick) working fine in the a10 for me.
Wait, I wonder if it's because the stick wasn't centered when I turned it on..?
That was it.
Is there a way to run the Telem without having to run CMD everytime? I tried to do a batch file but failed.
everytime walmis updates the wip branch, a new executable version is auto-created here: https://vpforcecontrols.com/downloads/TelemFFB
unzip (somewhere) and run the exe
