Overworld settings missing
When I remove a dimension datapack from the server, starting the server crashes with this error. But when I put back the datapack, it just starts normally fine. I'd appreciate any help that I can get with this, the datapack kills soo much tps as it adds different types of dimensions pls help T_T

probably best to say what the datapack is
possible that it's doing something (especially since you said 'dimension') where the overworld gets some datapack-specific data that the regular game can't parse, so it just complains instead of ignoring it.
uninstalling datapacks (and any kind of mod for that matter) and expecting things to 'just work' is really not how it works most of the time.
its the New in Town: Dimensions Expansion Data Pack
I've been doing some tests where the world works in singleplayer but doesnt when I run it in the server which I run in my own pc
While I'm left with the option of restarting the whole server just to fix it ( deleting all our progression ) my friends and I would be bummed ;[ so I was hoping if someone could help me if it is possible to play around with that net.minecraft.world.level, if so where does one access it via vscode or something?
Also did the NBTExplorer stuff where I'd delete the dimensions data but still no use as the same error persist
Really hoping theres a way out of this 😭
Hmm
where did you put the datapack in?
a world folder?
Yess, World - Datapacks
It looks like this when its in the server folder
have removed them multiple times both NBTE and manually, I just cant get around my mind what code is the overworld specifically calling that it just wont run without the datapack
although I can disable this datapack manually inside the server, the chunks it loaded is just killing my tps
judging by the info you've given
have you tried deleting every world folder?
last ditch effort
also go to bukkit.yml and there should be an extra parameter on the bottom
something like that
only stops there, I run a purpur surver
ah alright
try deleting the world folder
then run the server
see if it still crashes
Alrighty I'll give it a go
No crash so far, but did create a new worlds folders, I need the player datas and stuff that we built tho. are the blue dots safe to delete without suffering too much loss from progression? I dont understand whats under the "data" folder tho
This might also show which of these files will crash the server once started again
may I see what's inside the data folder?
the data folder stores information about generated structures, villages and in-game maps, It's safe to delete if you don't mind losing those, but none of the blocks/player data will be removed.
go to the old world file that you just deleted, go to datapacks and remove it
I'll research more on the purpose of some files
here's a little thing I saw that explains what the folders do: https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Java_Edition_level_format
Minecraft Wiki
Java Edition level format
Each level is its own folder. A level folder is often identified by having a level.dat file, along with other subfolders to store the maps and regions of the level.
So I've been playing around with the files and so far "poi" and "data" on 3 worlds Overworld-Nether-End has been making my server crash
But I'll check what data has been removed for deleting those 2
Heyy its all working now, @ImagineChatFilter man or wamen, thank youuu soooo much for helping me! We did lost the waystones coords but we can manage those x)
