P2W competitiveness

Hello, I'm making a minecraft server which is 100% PVE, where i sell items that u can sell for in game money (like booster cookies from hypixel skyblock). But lately i have been thinking to making a 1v1 gamemode where players can duel each other for no rewards (just for fun). My question now is if this is against the EULA or not

Why would players dueling each other for no money be against the EULA

If there's a scoreboard or leader board.

It's an one piece server with devilfruits and classes, so people might want to fight eachother for fun

The EULA states that you can’t give people a competitive advantage with something that pay real money for. So for example if those “boosters” mean they can use that money to buy something that would a) give them an advantage in pvp or b) you created a leaderboard based on player balances, then yes it would be breaking the EULA. To be conservative, make it so they can’t use any of their own gear with pvp. The EULA is specific that the leaderboard rule applies to PVE, anything that gives you a competitive advantage in PVP leaderboard or no is against the EULA

So if there is no leaderboard and if the pvp gives no rewards and is totally optional, it would still be against the EULA?

thats just to make sure nobody massively abuses it thats not how mojang actually enforces their eula ive seen p2w servers get banned and restored and all they had to do was remove i forgot what and payouts i think it was vipermc or smthm eitherway they got unblocked, they have pvp, and are p2w as hell without a leaderboard its not even really competitive so mojang wouldnt care and if mojang has a problem they dont just immediately block they are pretty forgiving the main reason that rule exists is just basically so other players arent significantly negatively impacted in gameplay by others spending money them having better gear that they spent money for in a mode thats just for fun and you gain nothing should be fine

basically a server primarily focused on competitive pvp that sold a loooot of stuff that helped with pvp this is what they had to remove

on a competetive server primarily focused on pvp where did it say they removed skins
Bureau

event skins underin
Cooleg
Cooleg2y ago
those are what they still have not what they lost

ohh so they still have crates
Cooleg
Cooleg2y ago
after getting mojang blocked they were able to keep alllll those

thats pretty weird 😂

people overestimate the eula and what it covers like directly the crates dont really act as a crazy detriment to another persons gameplay its not like theres some item they get that is impossible to get otherwise and wins 100% of the time and since they dont cause bad detriment to other persons gameplay they are chill

minecraft should update their eula asap, its really unclear what they want and dont want

heres the thing right this is commonplace with most companies they make a eula or tos that is broad so they dont get in trouble if a mistake happens or something and they can enforce stuff against the worst offenders and point at a basically catch all rule for example you know every single youtube sponsorship ever

pretty smart ngl but not so fun for us server owners 😦

exactly my point exactly its just so if someone pulls some bs they never seen before or didnt think of a catch all exists in mojangs case its just so servers dont go around giving everyone iteme that lets them basically be immortal and ruin peoples gameplay like sure you get an advantage in the pvp with items from crates, but if someone kills you with those items its great for them whereas if you are on a server where you have limited lived but people can just keep respawning to try and kill you that would obviously suck for people trying to fight that the whole point of the commercial mc eula regarding servers to make sure servers dont sell their players unhappiness to the highest bidder and let people with more money just ruin the experience of others cause obviously that would just suck and a lil pvp arena isnt gonna ruin someones gameplay
