❔ ASP.NET Core port remaining :5000 even after setting it to something else in launchSettings.json
Title pretty much explains it, it also runs on :38120 on my local computer but not on a release build

Oh, you said release...Yeah it doesn't read launch settings afaik
there should be a UseUrls or Urls.Add method based on what exactly you are using ( WebHostBuilder or WebApplication)

i need the port to carry over onto a release build cause on my server it uses port 5000 which is used by one of my other apps / bound to a different subdomain and on my local pc it was 7188, either way i need it to be 38120

for testing i just put it to a server and run it on root using ./myApp to see if everything works so far
