Server drops TPS heavily when one specific player logs in.
Hello! I'm a developer on a server (although my development mainly happens on my own test server... I have few permissions that the average player doesn't have).
Ever since Friday, June 30th, whenever I log in the server starts dropping TPS drastically and eventually crashes after 1-2 minutes.
I'm not on any sort of out of the ordinary client. I have tried logging in with Lunar, with optifine minecraft, and regular minecraft.
Me and the owner have reset ALL my player data multiple times over. This includes files from EVERY plugin on the server at least once.
It's not my PC, as I have logged in using an alternative account and everything works as intended, with no TPS drops at all.
Any sort of ideas as to what we can do? Rolling back the server is a last resort, as we have gained several new members since then, some of which have spent hours on the server.
Thanks!

we would need a spark report
with u trying to log in
do u by any chance have ajleaderboards?
is this found in logs?
if so, we've been looking in logs every time. all we get is "warning: can't keep up" until the server crashes
not sure, I'll ask the owner
no
its a plugin
and has a mod version aswell
ah ok we may need to download it. I'll ask him

!logs
Please check your server log for errors from your plugins.
If you need further help understanding the errors, please send us the whole log file.
Where can I find the server log?
Logs are stored in
<server_directory>/logs/
. Search for a file explorer in your server's management interface and navigate to that directory. Once you've opened that up, search for the latest.log
file. Some providers have a separate page for logs and may hide the "logs" folder.
On Aternos:
• Go to https://aternos.org/log/.
On Minehut and server.pro:
• Go to the "files" tab in the left menu.
• Navigate to the root directory of your server.
• From there navigate to /logs/latest.log
.
What should I do with the log?
• First of all, read it! I mean, that's what you do all the time when you run a server, isn't it? Try to locate any errors that have anything to do with the issue you are facing.
• If you got the latest.log
file or created a .txt
file with the necessary errors you can upload these directly to the channel, but we prefer if you upload them to https://mclo.gs/.
• If you have trouble downloading the log file, copy/paste the text to a paste service (like mclogs). Copy the link that it gives you and send it to us. (Don't worry, McLogs hides your users' IPs.)Admincraft Canned Responses
1.16.5 is getting pretty old
+ u have xmx 5g and maxrampercentage at the same time
set network compression to default
set max-tick-time to -1 (for testing)
ok gimme a sec
im trying to get a log for ya
Please use a paste service instead!
Paste services are more mobile friendly and easier to read than just posting a log file

could be a 1.16.5 random bug
nothin looking fishy? this has never happened before this week
Dude everything looks fishy. Half the plugins don’t work. It seems something to do with a plugin adding or removing items from your inventory the moment you join.
Is there a plugin you have installed that does that that’s not configured properly?
Nothing should be crashing the server just because I join when everyone else can join fine and all of my data has been reset…
