Homme Plisse Issey Miyake Pleated Pants?

What are people's experiences with these? How do they hold up with day to day use? Any better cheaper alternatives? (Relaxed pleated pants, doesn't need to be same design)

there are replicas online - I wouldn't expect them to be the same quality at all. Common rep brand is Kuyio, if you search for JF150 you might find

That's the slim taper in the pic right? I've been looking for a straight fit but there are so many models its kinda confusing

I have some ... alternatives. You can search for "Gremade" on reddit

ssense doesn’t seem to list the jf###, but i think jf159 is “tailored pleats 2” on ssense

IMO don’t get knock offs of that style. They’re apples and oranges. The pleats usually last pretty well just don’t sit for too long in them

I have a pair of their pants. They’re nice and good for daily wear just don’t know how to clean them lol They retain their shape pretty well Zara clone is surprisingly good Cos clone is not as nice but decent Uniqlo is meh

Do the pleats flatten if you sit too long on them? Do you find the pleats worth your money? Aren’t they machine washeable?

I hand wash you'll probably destroy the pleats if you machine wash

Pleats don’t flatten, im too afraid to machine wash pants I paid that much for I don’t think you’d destroy the pleats though. They’re pretty robust

I don't know but i'm also afraid to try. My zara pants flattened with wear so I don't to destroy this other version I have

I've seen this discussion recur time and time again. If you want good pleats, get Issey Miyake you can find reasonable deals if you actively look

oh for sure. Yeah I was afraid that it would mess with the pleats

How are you liking the pants in general?

yeah, i've owned 2 pairs. i bought a dark green pair this time. i have 0 concerns about the pleats fading, i don't really think it's possible for it to 'fade' and turn into a normal pant. you can sit on the pleats no problem and it returns back to normal shape. worth the investment if it's within your budget. i feel like if you bought a dupe, you'd just be disappointed.

Awesome. thanks for the input. It would be my first time buying a pair of pants at this price range lol. Shoes and coats I have no problem with because of the material they're made from. But these pants are polyester lol Just noticed there's multiple types of the pants. Which one did you get?

I've also washed my homme plisse a bunch and have never had any problem with the pleats losing shape. The material is heat treated to retain it's shape, so it generally holds up quite well.
