Essential Alternatives
❓ Hi, I've been looking for valid alternatives to essentialsX, EssentialsX chat, and EssentialX spawn for days. I found CMI as a valid alternative which, however, is paid for, does anyone know of other valid free ones?

What purpose are you doing this for?
I use SunLight, it has been pretty smooth so far. Only issue I've faced is that it sometimes breaks after a reload. Reloading is not advised ofc.

I don't like many of its features, like rtp, tpa, and I always end up downloading external plugins that nullify the existence of essential
You don't need to use those features if you don't need to.
Essentials also has a built-in way to fully disable their commands
Or just deny the perm

@Sebah CMI (https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/cmi-298-commands-insane-kits-portals-essentials-economy-mysql-sqlite-much-more.3742/) looks like a promising alternative with a lot of the main features of essentials. What are you looking for? Just something to make vannilla commands shorter and easier to learn? If your looking for a specific feature, a standalone plugin might be a better option.
A lot of those complaints all seem to stem from ignorance compared to "real" issues.
Overwriting the vanilla command isn't quite accurate. You just have to call the proper name space of the command. If any plugin has the same command as vanilla the bukkit base itself chooses the plugin command.
Not liking all the extra "bloat" is a weird complaint too. Essentials is a kitchen sink plugin to begin with, it is supposed to have anything most people can find essential. You can pick and choose what you want using the config files.

so you don't like features of essentials, but you want to use a plugin made to replace essentials?
