Best way to upload camera roll on iOS app, but not things like screenshots, image downloads, etc?
Been loving Immich, and very eager to see where it goes, and hopefully be more involved on here as I use it!
My primary device is an Android phone, but I've recently given the multiple user features a try and added my partner to my server. She is using an iOS device, and one thing I'm struggling to figure out is what should be selected to backup to just backup photos she takes herself on her phone.
On my Android phone, I have a folder 'Camera', and this is what backs up, ensuring I only get camera photos, no screenshots, etc. On iOS, she seems to only have one folder that contains all her camera photos 'Recents', but this would mean uploading pretty much all images she gets on her phone - camera photos, screenshots, images from messaging apps, etc. Is there some way to essentially select only the Camera Roll on iOS?

There is already a screenshots album on latest iOS
Just double tap it to exclude that album
Normal tap/select “Recents”, Double tap “Screenshots”
On a similar note, if you happen to see 'whatsapp' album, you can exclude it as well by double tapping it. I learnt that somewhere on this discord server itself. Weird iOS.
I tried this approach before and it takes ages for that 'shortcut' to finish. On IPhone 13 max pro.
This seems an effective way! Though for her, it may be simpler to manage the album herself. She mostly just wants to use Immich for shared albums, so likely is fine doing it manually whenever she wants that
Interesting! So when you exclude an album, it'll exclude the images, even if they are in recents? I guess I assumed the double tap was just to remove something from the backup list, didn't realize it would filter them out of other albums that are included
Edit: Okay, should have tested it first, this is so simple and works so well, thanks! I must have just never properly tried double tapping.
