what's ip in server.properties
no reason to not post the crash report
my ipv4
remove it, leave it blank
Please use a paste service instead!
Paste services are more mobile friendly and easier to read than just posting a log file

remove it
i'll do
but
how i say my friend what IP to put ?
in server list
are you self hosting?
just google, what is my ip
and give that to him
i did, but the server do not connect to him
only to me, and my family in my house
u need to port forward
and yes, im self hosting with .bat command
and allow the port thru ur firewall on ur pc
how i do that ?
its slightly different depending on ur internet setup, but theres 100s of step by step tutorials online with pictures
ohh u mean opening ports in tcp/udp for 25565 ?
yes
cause if is that, i did it haha
so
i'll try leaving it in blank
and sending him my public ip then ?
yes
but u also need to port forward
yeah i did that
this is not port forwarding
oh
nothing still
i did it
he still cant connect to server, the server appears offline for him, after pinging it
you might have not portfowarded correctly, or he has the wrong ip
depending on ur setup, theres also a small chance you have a double nat setup, and will need to portforward twice
make sure you've given him the right ip
you can google "what is my ip" and give him the ipv4
i just google'd and there is a video of how to port forward with my router
yeah im giving him the ipv4 but nothing
is ur computer ur hosting on using ethernet?
like is it wired into the router you port forwarded on
mmm i dont know that haha
so you are hosting the server on your computer you are sitting at
right?
yeah
how does that computer have internet
are you connected to the wifi? or do u have a cable plugged into it
pc-router wire haha
cable
ok is that cable plugged into the router?
sorry im kinda stressed
yeah it is
its ok
ok where is that router plugged into to get internet?
mmm i dont understand, u mean outside? XD
yeah so u have a cable coming from outside?
yes
ok
yeah
ur public ip
not ipv4
yeah he is using my public ip but the server does not connect
oh it say closed

something like this in ur router settings
i am
go to windows fire wall and allow incoming ports to 25565

ohhh kk
just select tcp
and apply
done
now i'll check the fire wall
then in windows firewall allow incoming connections to port 25565
then while server is on check https://canyouseeme.org
Open Port Check Tool -- Verify Port Forwarding on Your Router
A free open port check tool used to detect open ports on your connection. Test if port forwarding is correctly setup or if your port is being blocked by your firewall or ISP.
ok i added it on firewall
and port in Router is TCP only now
i dont understand :/
https://mcsrvstat.us
can you try on here actually
dont share ur ip here, should remove this after we're done here
kk

maybe im doing something wrong
hold on.
public
done but
why ?
ohh
it says i still have the port closed, maybe im doing it bad
the 1st server, appears with my IPV4, and 2nd, my public ip

you wont be able to connect to ur own server using ur public ip
from inside ur network
u should be using a website to test to see if it works
still the same,

its like my server doesnt exists lol
are you using a vpn?
if you dont know, then the answer is most likely no
yeah im not using a vpn
i used to have a server before
and people from all countries able to join in
idk what happens now
whats that ?
We may have bad news for you :C
Open your router's configuration interface. Somewhere you'll see something like 'external' or 'public' IP.
If your external IP is in one of the following ranges, you're basically screwed as long as portforwards go:
- 10.0.0.0/8
- 172.16.0.0/20
- 192.168.0.0/16
- 100.64.0.0/10
- any IPv6 address/range - This shouldn't be a problem, but Minecraft's IPv6 support is still rather quirky. You're at your own but we're happy if you share your experience.
You should ask your ISP for a public and IPv4 address (but this may cost you money).
NB: your internal IP should and most probably will be in one of the first three ranges, don't mix them up

yah maybe im fucked
i'll just surrender haha
sadge..
seems like a problem i cant fix
just use oracle cloud for hosting ur server, its free if u use little resources
yeah im sad cause
i downloaded a lot of plugins and the server is so beautiful
just a ip-port problem, idk
sadge..
we will play in Vanilla maybe, with hamachi or something
thank u very much guys for the help
u can use oracle
and use all ur plugins
thanks a lot ! i'll try it
im not
thanks a lot guys
i'll try that
I had the same port forwarding issue as yours for week
until some guy told me to login to isp router
and had me change a setting that would allow my router to port forward
my router page

but also isp router page

I believe it was something regarding DHCP
you might have a similar issue to what I had
you might have to do something similar
i'll investigate more
thanks a LOT guys
login to ur router isp
okay guys, i investigated, my internet provider have the ports blocked, even if i open them
i need to call them, to say them to open it
otherwise i cant do it
so, monday i'll try, thanks for the help
weird
yeah i read
they do that in my country
to charge u an extra service for asking to them to open it
they just block you those things
so u are forced to call
argentina is beautiful
in iraq they dont do that
use playit gg
check that your external ip is a public ip should not start in any of these on the list here

Chris Parker
WhatIsMyIPAddress
What is a Private IP Address?
An IP address within one of three ranges (10.x.x.x, 192.168.x.x, 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255) are used within local networks only (behind routers and firewalls)
whats that ?
It's an app
It doesn't require you to port forward from your router.
You can make your local server public using playit gg.
Better alternative to ngrok.
:villagerthink:
so i just download it
and done ?
You have to create tunnel from the app. Follow a YouTube tutorial.
i think i did it
they make me to create a tunnel
i choose minecraft
java
