mob spawn issue, need help
Hello, if anyone who's ever done a vanilla server can explain how they did it with spawn mob settings, I'd love to. During the night, too many mobs spawn around players and it becomes impossible to survive. If I reduce the number of mobs (from the default 70), the farms stop producing. It's a never-ending circle and I wonder how you managed it.

I'd like the mobs to spawn as they normally do in singleplayer but I can't get it to spawn like that
Increase the radius that mobs can spawn around the player.
@Señor Leche this?
mob-spawn-range
same shit even when set to 10...
Three zombies and a spider is considered high?
no I couldn't make a proper screenshot but theres like 10 zombies coming for me
lmao
theres also 5 skelets
7 creepers on the other side at less than 15 blocks
yes this is obvisouly very high
easy solution, reduce the hostile mob cap instead of increasing the spawn radius
i have my simulation/spawn range set at like 6 chunks
and STILL
45 mobcap for hostiles is SO MANY
basically the more condensed the spawns, the less mobs u will need in total, good performance gain but u have to decrease the caps
yeah that's what I did
