Commandblocks getting wiped when reloading server sometimes.

It seems like sometimes all of my command blocks get wiped when restarting my server. Is this a known problem and/or fixable? Paper 1.19.4

Please check your server log for errors from your plugins.
If you need further help understanding the errors, please send us the whole log file. Where can I find the server log? Logs are stored in <server_directory>/logs/. Search for a file explorer in your server's management interface and navigate to that directory. Once you've opened that up, search for the latest.log file. Some providers have a separate page for logs and may hide the "logs" folder. On Aternos: • Go to https://aternos.org/log/. On Minehut and server.pro: • Go to the "files" tab in the left menu. • Navigate to the root directory of your server. • From there navigate to /logs/latest.log. What should I do with the log? • First of all, read it! I mean, that's what you do all the time when you run a server, isn't it? Try to locate any errors that have anything to do with the issue you are facing. • If you got the latest.log file or created a .txt file with the necessary errors you can upload these directly to the channel, but we prefer if you upload them to https://mclo.gs/. • If you have trouble downloading the log file, copy/paste the text to a paste service (like mclogs). Copy the link that it gives you and send it to us. (Don't worry, McLogs hides your users' IPs.)

Also its bad to reload servers, just restart if possible. Reloading is known to break things What server software are you using? What plugins/mods do you have installed?

Binary search your plugins
Remove half of your non-essential (ie not things like PAPI or LuckPerm) plugins and see if the problem is fixed. If it still persists, the cause is in the half still installed. Continue to halve the remaining plugins until you've narrowed it down to a single plugin. Congratulations, you found the culprit.

Ok, it always good to keep that stuff up to date (especially paper and java) to help reduce the chance of bugs or other problems Since they release patches and fixes to lots of bugs in newer versions

A plugin updater is something you might want to look into implementing onto your server as well as automatic updates for server jars

yeah maybe ill check it out I think I looked into before A long time ago tho

never ever do automatic updates. causes nothing but issues

Penguin Terminal•2y ago
I mean its not ideal, but its better than having really old plugins causing issues
ProGamingDk
ProGamingDk•2y ago
its not. if u cant be asked to update your plugins frequently manually

mabye adding a grace period like 90 days before adding or something would help so that if a buggy version was released it would have time to be fixed

Maybe its not when the server restarts I noticed that things tend to just disappear lately... For instance I placed heads down the other day for a replay mod shot on the server I left my pc and left the area the heads were placed in, then when I came back all the heads where gone (I noticed the heads were there, but just invisible) replacing them seemed to make them stay Just not too long ago we were placing down skeletons that were named We looked a away for a sec and when we came back the skeletons were gone They seem to be staying now after replacing them Could this possibly be connected to the command blocks getting wiped? Because I'm thinking that maybe they just randomly get wiped after leaving and re entering the chunks I see no errors on logs or coonsole when this stuff happens
Penguin Terminal
Penguin Terminal•2y ago
Uhh it could be that chunks arent saving properly, but usually you would get an error.
