A player called cuute keeps trying to join from different ips

I can send more login of the players login attempts but it just weirds me out. The server is running on port 25565, but not on a actual server hosting provider but my own vps. What can i do, and is this a security risk

its a server scanner
not really a security risk
but u can ignore em, block their ip with ufw
or use pufferfish
