Chunk loading issues on Fabric Server running Lithium, Starlight
Hi all, my server is running with 8GB RAM, and an i7 - yet even with just one player on we are getting these chunk loading problems. After a minute or so it will load and lag the server for a bit.
This has not happened before; last year I was running a paper server and had no similar issues. Is there perhaps something going on with Lithium config?
I have also tried pregenerating chunks with Chunky, but that didn't solve anything it seems.

hmm, thats very weird
the only time i have had something simmilar happen to me it was client side, and it seems like it was the mod Hold That Chunk that caused the issue for me
Unfortunately it's happening to all our players, and it's a bit rough to just tell them to wait a minute or two
My only thought is that the server is using a 1TB HDD rather than an SSD. But it surely shouldn't cause this much of a problem?
It can be something to look out to upgrade overtime, but don't think it should be a big problem.
I don't know your player numbers but i ran off a 1TB HDD for years until i recently upgraded to a SSD, it improved chunk loading a bit for us, but never had any loqding issues like what you have when i ran it on a HDD
I guess using spark and getting a report from it while the issue is happening can help with trying to find out what's causing the issue
It seems like this part is causing a lot of lag?
I've never used spark before, but this spikes during the time of the lag
Futher looking into it, I'm running into issues with
jdk.internal.misc.Unsafe.park()
If anyone knows how to resolve this issue please let me know
After removing Lithium the problem seems to have subsided slightly
Nevermind, it made no differenceThat isn't an issue.
