Creatively stumped with how I layout my train yard

I'm currently working on making a train yard in my survival smp, but I'm having a lot of trouble of what to put where to flesh it out, i have a vague idea of where i want some simple things, like a train shed, docks and a switch track control building for decor, but other things like a water tower and a coal bunker i have no idea where to put. Even how to lay the track I'm having difficulty with ideas. ill leave some images of the area I'm working with and a blank version of the space too so feel free to paint out lines where tracks could go (Small explanation: theres a loop around the yard for trains to turn around on the 2 lane track system for the entire railway)
