Need Help With a Server Related Networking Issue
So as the title suggests, I'm having issues with a Minecraft server that I am hosting on my PC. I've already asked around in a tech support sub-reddit, but because the issue is caused by a Minecraft server, I thought it would be fitting to ask for help here. I'll paste the original post below:
Pretty random problem that I just recently ran into and I'm fairly certain I know the cause, but just don't know how to fix it.
So as the title suggests, my ethernet had been disconnecting semi-randomly, and by semi-random, I mean only when I host a Minecraft server on my PC for myself and my friend. After I launch the server, It will cause my ethernet adapter to just turn off suddenly at a pretty random interval. Sometimes within a few minutes of launching the server, sometimes within a few days, but it has only ever disconnected with the server running.
I'm 99.9% certain its not my modem/router as my phone and other devices have never lost connection over wifi. I have also tried a few various solutions such as resetting the adapter and disabling power saving mode on it, but the only thing that fixes it is turning my pc off and back on.
PC info:
Windows 10: Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045
Ethernet Adapter: msi mpg x570 carbon ek x motherboard onboard ethernet
Let me know if any additional info is needed, I'll respond as soon as I see it. Otherwise in the meantime I'm going to try and reinstall my ethernet adapters drivers and see what happens but idk, we'll see.
Original post's link to read replies as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/14gpfzk/comment/jp6sjk4/?context=3
So yeah, I'm completely lost on how to fix this issue and really have no idea what could be causing it. Any help or suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Edit: This happens on both my vanilla server on 1.19 and a modded 1.18 server

Bad ethernet cable?
Never seen this before
by disconnecting, do you mean that the internet stops working, or does windows show like an X over the network connection in the bottom right?
@Xeero Please check if Intel makes that NIC
Intel I225-V
I believe the I226 has the asme problem, see #Internet crashes while hosting a server locally (with lots of block changes)
So I actually just found a reddit post explaining the exact issue that im having, like word for word.
What everyone concluded on there is that it is just a shitty ethernet adapter from intel and that the only work around is using a different PCIE ethernet controller/adapter
So im going to try that and go from there.
