Geyser on Survival Server?
What kind of experience should I expect from this for Bedrock players?

I currently run a crossplay survival server and it works great! Just keep geyser updated (or install an updater plugin) If you don't mind the extra little bit of tweaking, you can double your potential reach.
Ok, neat! I was reading through the config, and it said something about the furnace minecart not being in bedrock and nether ceiling not being accessible. How do those pan out in game?
nether ceiling can be fixed
For the nether celing, just change above-bedrock-nether-building to true (does change the nether fog to look like the end for bedrock players) For the furnace minecart, there is not much to do, bedrock players will just see a normal minecart and nothing can be changed.
If you want, you set the resource pack for geyser to contain the optional crossplay resource pack (https://wiki.geysermc.org/other/geyseroptionalpack)

That will fix some of the textures, but overall, cross-play is great and doesn't cause very many issues. The one thing is, that I highly reccomend that if you are using a anti-cheat, that it be compatible with geyser (at least where it doesn't check bedrock players)

There is no option for the minecart (as far as I am aware), but go into the geyser config and set above-bedrock-nether-building to true and you should be good to go!
add-non-bedrock-items is the option, sorry, doesn't have furnace minecart in the name
if its false, java players can build on ceiling but bedrock players won't be able to see the stuff up there?right, they wont be able to see or build

so with this true, i was wondering what the item would look like in inventory for bedrock
Herm, I'm not exactly sure. I can test it later with a bedrock friend, but I think it would look like a hopper minecart unless the resource pack is on? Not sure at all, will have to check.

Just checked, when in inventory, it looks like a normal furnace minecart. Looks normal as well when placed.
It might be something that effects other versions, tested on pocket edition

i have no clue. the people at geyser are so smart it hurts my brain just thinking about it
